The Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce located in Port Arthur, Texas is seeking a President/CEO. Port Arthur, located in Jefferson County, is a thriving and growing industrial community. This position is responsible for the general management and coordination of all organizational activities of the Chamber of Commerce. The President also serves as the corporate secretary for the organization. Directs all planning to carry out chamber objectives and implement chamber policies. This is a full-time position that requires some evenings and weekends. Duties include development and support of a strong and vibrant chamber membership portfolio and directing a full range of Chamber activities. The position will require both establishing and maintaining effective relationships within the business community and internal functions as directed by the Board of Directors. Understanding that revenue and fundraising are key components of this position is critical to your success. The Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce has successfully worked to make our community a better place to live, work and grow a business.  Advocating for local, state, and national business priorities. Coordinating events with neighboring chambers. There are 42 accredited chambers in the State of Texas, however only 20 of them have a 5 Star rating, and the Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce is one of them.  Manage a staff of 3 to 4 employees.
